Your First Visit

At your first visit we will examine your whole mouth thoroughly and advise you about treatment options. We will only carry out treatment at this appointment if you want us to.

Please tell us if there is something you particularly dislike about visiting the dentist as we may be able to avoid it completely or approach it differently. If you are very anxious or just need a hand to hold during treatment, our team will help find a way to make your dental visits as pleasurable as possible.

If you need extensive treatment a further treatment planning session may be necessary or you may need to be seen by one of our specialists.

 
Hygienist & Prevention

Dental disease is preventable and we are keen to show you how to do this. It is important to learn good cleaning techniques and have a healthy diet to prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Regular attendance with one of our hygienists can help keep your gums healthy and maintain your smile.

 
Routine

We do our best to ensure your dental care meets your individual needs and will discuss the proposed treatment and treatment options with you, giving you time to ask questions and consider the alternatives.

We offer a full range of preventive and cosmetic dentistry including endodontics (Root Canal Treatment), Veneers, Crowns, Bridges and Whitening.  Each surgery is fully equipped to help us diagnose when treatment is required and explain the treatment options to you.

Cosmetic

Once your mouth is healthy we can give you a beautiful smile. Crowns and veneers can rebuild chipped or broken teeth.

White fillings are now comparable in terms of survival and function, replacing unsightly silver fillings.

Whitening can lighten your smile and remove years of staining.

Gaps can be filled with bridgework (supported off adjacent teeth), on plates or with implants (titanium screws to replace lost teeth). Sometimes a mixture will be recommended, and your dentist will talk you through your options.

Specialists

To enable us to treat all aspects of dentistry to a high standard the practice includes dentists who have undertaken further specialist training. We have an oral surgeon, Periodontist (for gum disease) and an Endodontist (for difficult root canal treatment).

They will be happy to see you on referral from your initial consultation or from your own dentist via the online forms in the referring dentists section.

Emergency Treatment

If you are in pain we will always see you the same day, even if you are new to the practice.

For our registered patients we operate an out of hours emergency service. You may not see your usual dentist but we will aim to deal with the immediate problem.
